Mid-Atlantic Health Care Company History
Founded in 2003 by Dr. Scott Rifkin and Howard Friner, Mid-Atlantic Health Care has grown to be an innovator in post-hospital services throughout the region. In 2003, Dr. Rifkin purchased the first skilled nursing facility on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Since then, Mid-Atlantic Health Care has grown to provide quality care throughout Pennsylvania. At each of these care centers, we are committed to delivering the highest level of care and service to our patients and their families.
Mid-Atlantic Health Care Mission and Philosophy
Mid-Atlantic Health Care’s mission is both remarkably simple and enormously challenging. We feel that the facilities we own and manage should be an extension of the communities we serve … and represent the best healthcare practices available in those communities. We are not satisfied with anything less than the highest quality of healthcare. We expect our facilities to provide a caring environment, the best hands-on clinical and nursing services and the best rehabilitation services in each community we serve.

Mid-Atlantic Health Care Partnerships
Mid-Atlantic Health Care invites other healthcare providers to discuss ways we can work together to provide improved, seamless care for patients in our communities. In many of our centers, we have worked with physicians, hospitals and insurance providers to integrate our processes. These partnerships allow us to improve efficiency and increase the competitive strength of our respective organizations while improving the quality of care. We strongly believe that working partnerships with other providers have a positive impact on both the cost and quality of care.
